I am contemplating the purchase of the Sizzix Texture Boutique Embossing machine. I was so sure it would cut with the Nestabilities-like dies. Thank you for proving me correct. You have been using it for more than a year now. I see the dies are still working. Do you that the thicker sandwich is harming the machine? Have you had to replace the embossing pads?
Hi Debbie. My machine seems to be perfectly fine with the thicker sandwich; mine is also something of a "soft" sandwich as opposed to a hard piece of plastic since I just glued two pieces of a cutting board to either side of a piece of cork. I haven't broke it yet! I have not had to replace the embossing plates so far. They have accumulated numerous cuts from the die cutting so I may have to replace them at some point.
